Restoring Hope and Renewing Faith in the hearts of pastors across the United States.

This is a Biblically based ministry that desires to restore joy and hope by providing a safe harbor to pastors and staff members by offering confidential counsel and encouragement to those who find themselves walking through difficult times.

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself RESTORE, confirm, strengthen and establish you.”

1 Peter 5:10

In 1988 my Uncle John Jeter sat across the table from me at lunch and after I shared job opportunities that were before me, he looked at me with watery eyes and said, “David, before you consider these jobs I want you to know that I believe that God is calling you into full time Christian ministry. Now if you just want a job, I’ll hire you. But I’m telling you I believe God is calling you into the ministry.” I about fell out of my chair. I told him there was no way I could do what Brother Bob, our pastor at that time, and Steve, another one of our pastors, do. Plus I’m not that smart. I don’t know enough about the Bible. I shared a number of reasons, excuses, as to why it wouldn’t work. Then he said to me, “David always remember that whatever God calls you to do, He will equip you to accomplish.” From that point on life began to radically change for me and it’s never been the same since that day. My Uncle John, who was my spiritual mentor and the reason I am where I am today, fought Alzheimers for a number of years and went to be with the Lord in July of 2015. I miss him dearly, but his words, wisdom, and encouragement still greatly impact me. In 1988 as I left Indianapolis, Indiana and headed for Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, he went with me. Not literally, but in the way of his wisdom and guidance which continue with me to this day.

It’s been over 30 years since I surrendered to ministry, quit my job, loaded up my car and headed to Texas to begin my seminary education. Since that time the Lord has done “more than I could ever imagine.” Along the way my Uncle John was right there cheering me on, giving me counsel, praying for me and just listening to me when I wanted to quit. He did that not only for me, but with countless others.

A number of years ago God gave me a clear calling to one day, begin a ministry of encouragement. A ministry of encouragement to as many people as possible, but also specifically to pastors and staff ministers. This was born out of John’s ministry to me. I felt the impact of his encouragement and it always spurred me on. As God gives that same gift of encouragement as I saw lived out in my Uncle John, I desire to foster that encouragement in others. This is Pastor Dave Ministries.

We exist to restore hope and renew faith in the hearts and lives of pastors and staff members that are walking through difficult times and have grown weary.
