For the past 2 ½ years I have been studying the common leadership practices of twelve pastors in our fastest growing churches in the church of the Nazarene in the USA. My research asked three questions
Is there a common leadership style among the twelve pastors?
What are the common leadership principles and practices among the senior pastors that have been effective in driving the growth of their churches?
What problem has COVID created for the church and what is the leadership solution?
The results are OUTSTANDING!!!
First. My research uncovered that all 12 leaders have a common leadership style.
Second: My research uncovered 10 common leadership practices that are essential to church growth.
Third: My research uncovered what the 12 pastors see as the problem to be solved post-COVID and the leadership answer to that problem.
The point of my dissertation has been to learn from those whose churches are growing in order to help others learn to grow their churches. I know that many pastors desperately want their church to thrive. I’m looking for opportunities in 2023 to share what I have learned and help pastors be better leaders.
