What problem do churches solve?

What problem do churches solve?

I was reminded recently that every business need to know what problem it is solving. If you don’t know the problem you won’t connect with your customers real needs. If you don’t solve their problem they wont be your customer very long.

So I began to think what problems do churches solve? If we don’t know the problem that people need us to help them solve then a church will be all about itself. No one wants to go to a church for the sake of the church. People want to go to a church that helps them. So we must start by knowing the problems they need us to solve. Once a church stops caring about growing the organization and growing people (by solving their problems) then the church organization will grow.

Here’s the problems I have identified that we are trying to solve.

For those who aren’t Christians: Spiritual Confusion

For those who are new Christians: Spiritual Growth

For those who are seasoned Christians: Spiritual Activation

I call this Head, Heart, Hands and all of my church discipleship process runs through this.
